The results of the provincial Conservative leadership race should be known early tomorrow afternoon. Party members began voting last weekend and the ballots are being counted.

The P-C party hasn’t released turnout numbers, but more than 76-thousand members were eligible to vote for either deputy leader Christine Elliott or Barrie M-P Patrick Brown.

Elliott says she represents the “progressive” side of the party — especially on social issues — whereas Brown says he can bring a fresh start to the party because he wasn’t involved in what he calls its “policy disasters” in recent years.

The winner will be announced at a Toronto convention centre around noon tomorrow.
