Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death by lethal injection for the 2013 Boston bombing.  The jury reached its verdict at approximately 3 o’clock Friday afternoon.

The parents of the eight year old boy who was killed in the attack were in the courtroom when the sentence came down.

Tsarnaev, who is 21 years old was convicted last month of a total of 30 counts of criminal acts for the April 15, 2013 attack that killed three, and injured close to 260.

Of the 30 counts given, 17 carried the conviction of the death penalty.

Tsarnaev showed no emotion while the sentence was being given.
