Just in time for the holiday weekend, there’s word of more strike action here in Ontario.
High school teachers in Halton region and Ottawa-Carlton are planning to begin an administrative strike next week.
Teachers with those two boards will partially withdraw their services.
That means they won’t be adding comments to report cards or attending meetings – but field trips and extracurricular activities will still go on.
High school teachers in three other Ontario regions have been on strike for weeks – leaving more than 70-thousand students out of their classrooms.
Those three boards have asked the Ontario Labour Relations Board to declare the strikes illegal.
That hearing is set to continue into next week.
