There are more senators who may come under public scrutiny.

Auditor general Michael Ferguson says there are about 30 senators – who will be found to have dubious expense claims, including close to 10 – who may be referred to the RCMP.

Senate sources say Ferguson’s upcoming report on Senate spending may reveal – that up to 10 senators may be referred to the RCMP for criminal review.

Ferguson says that number is “close” but “not exact.”

Auditors are challenging another 20 senators on their housing, travel and office spending.

Ferguson’s final report is to be delivered to the Senate – sometime next week.
