Two Toronto Catholic school trustees have failed to persuade the largest Catholic board in the province to ask Queen’s Park to delay implementing the new sex-ed curriculum. Trustees Angela Kennedy and Garry Tanuan say the new curriculum does not present sexuality in the context of love and marriage and contradicts Catholic teachings. At Thursday night’s meeting the board voted 8-4 against seeking a delay after board lawyers warned trustees that have a legal obligation to comply with provincial curriculum choices.
