MUKHERJEE STEPS DOWN AS POLICE BOARD CHAIR

The chair of the Toronto Police Services Board has announced his resignation.  Alok Mukherjee has been at the helm of the board for ten years.  His final day will be July 31st. There is a published report that Andy Pringle could succeed Mukherjee as police board chair.  Pringle is a retired bond trader with strong ties to the Conservative Party and a close friend of Toronto Mayor John Tory.
