”Downton Abbey” is being recognized for its success in Britain and all over the world.
The BAFTA tribute featured a performance from opera singer Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, who played Dame Nellie Melba in the series.
Creator Julian Fellowes described the show’s success around the world as very unexpected.
“To say that the past six years have been quite an adventure would be something of an understatement.  We have all been asked whether we had any idea of the impact the series would make and the answer is of course not.”
”Downton Abbey,” which can be seen on our sister station Vision TV, is about to end after six seasons.
