CELINE DION RETURNS TO LAS VEGAS STAGE WITH 'AWKWARD EMOTIONS' WHILE STAYING 'GROUNDED'

Canadian born superstar Celine Dion returned to the stage at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last night after a lengthy break to take care of her ailing husband, Rene Angelil. Prior to the show, Celine held a news conference where she explained that her songs have taken on a different meaning in light of her husband’s battle with throat cancer. She also said her emotions have been inconsistent.

“Sometimes I’m more nervous than I should not be, for moments that nothing happened in my life, and sometimes I should be broken apart where I feel inner strength that lifts me up. I don’t thing right now, I, I’m not on top of anything. I’m trying to be very grounded,” Dion explained.

The 47 year old multi Grammy award winner didn’t give details of her husband’s medical condition, but she said she is trying teach her children that their father’s health problems are part of life and they shouldn’t constantly be crying or depressed.

Celine Dion also has shows scheduled for this weekend and will perform several dates per month before wrapping up in January.
