One of Canada’s wealthiest families has hired one of the country’s top criminal lawyers to represent their son on deadly drunk driving charges.
Brian Greenspan has until October 19 – federal election day – to review police evidence concerning last week’s crash in Vaughan that claimed four members of the Neville-Lake family.
Speaking outside the Newmarket courthouse, Greenspan said, ”Until this morning we hadn’t received any police disclosure of any sort where we can make a proper and intelligent evaluation of the circumstances surround this tragedy.”
He also said it’s too early to say how 29-year old Marco Muzzo will plead.
Greenspan says he’s ”devastated by the horrific loss of life and has expressed to me on numerous occasions his condolences and sympathy to the family.”
