Doctors have found a new tumour growing on the bladder of the former mayor, who underwent surgery last May to have a cancerous tumour removed from his abdomen.

In a statement Wednesday from the Etobicoke councillor’s office, Ford was ”experiencing more abdominal pain, and he has spent time undergoing examination and testing by his medical team at Mount Sinai Hospital.

”It’s now confirmed that there is a new tumour growing on his bladder.  At this time, we ware still awaiting testing results to determine if it is related to the previous growths, as well as whether it is malignant.”

Ford will undergo additional treatments for the new tumour.
