PROVINCE SELECTS GROCERY STORES TO SELL BEER

The suds are a step closer to possibly reaching the shelves of your grocery store.
 Beer Grocery
The province has selected 13 grocery stores and chains, a mix of larger and independent grocers located across Ontario.
Coppa’s Fresh Market
Farm Boy
Galleria Supermarket
Hanahreuem Mart
La Mantia’s Country Market
Loblaws
Longo’s
Metro
Michael-Angelos Market Place
Pino’s Get Fresh
Sobeys
Starsky Fine Foods
Wal-Mart
The grocers must now apply for licences to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
The government’s aiming to have up to 60 locations selling beer by the end of next month.
It previously announced there would be 25 in the GTA, 16 in western Ontario, 13 in the east and six in the north.
