POLICE INVESTIGATE SUSPECTED HATE CRIME

Toronto Police have released an image of one of the suspects in a hate crime that happened on the subway on Wednesday night involving racists comments hurled at two women wearing hijabs.
It happened around 6 o’clock at Bloor-Young station on a train travelling east bound when two men and a women got on the train.  The two men starting making derogatory comments towards the women, who were apparently going about their own business.
Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders says hate crimes in the city are taken very seriously and will not be tolerated.
So far no suspects have been brought into custody.
Anyone with information is being asked to call crime stoppers.
