If you’re looking for the world’s longest Chinese salamander youchinese-giant-salamander-banner2 might visit the Prague Zoo.
Karlo, because that’s his name, belongs to a critically endangered species despite being the largest amphibian on the planet.
The zoo went on record this weekend with Karlo’s vital statistics. He is five feet-two and 3/16ths inches long, weighs 77 pounds and is probably around 38 years old.
Zoo research indicates he may not be the biggest one ever but he’s the only Chinese salamander this big on the face of the earth.
