Today, Christmas Eve Day, is the last shopping day before Christmas arrives.

Most of Toronto’s big malls close at 6:00 this evening.  LCBO and Beer Stores are also open until 6pm.  And getting where you want to go will be easy as both the TTC and GO Transit are running regular weekday service on Christmas Eve Day.

On Christmas Day Friday, TTC service starts at 9am. GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule. Not much is open on Christmas Day with the exception of movie theatres, The Pacific Mall and some grocery stores (various Rabba locations and Food Depot at 155 Dupont St). Ripley’s Aquarium is open Christmas Day as is Harbourfront Centre and Nathan Phillips Square skating rinks.

On Boxing Day, malls open early: Eaton Centre 7am to 9:30pm; Vaughan Mills 7am to 9pm; Yorkdale 8am to 10pm; Pacific Mall 11am to 9pm; Promenade Mall 8am to 8pm; Square One 8am to 8pm. Movie theatres and most grocery stores will open. And tourist attractions including the Art Gallery of Ontario, ROM, Ontario Science Centre, Casa Loma, Toronto Zoo and Ripley’s Aquarium will open. The TTC and GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Boxing Day. All LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed.
