If you look up tonight, you might see more than just fireworks lighting up the sky.
The US Space Weather Prediction Center says due to a massive solar storm, auroras could be seen as far south as northern Ontario and even possibly into the Toronto region.
On December 28, the sun emitted a massive burst of radiation called a coronal mass ejection which is expected to hit the planet tonight.
But sky-watchers say the Northern Lights will only be visible if its clear and pollution is low.
