Marilyn Monroe’s image will soon grace the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Patrons were asked to choose from among three actresses who never received Oscar nominations. Thousands of votes were cast on Smithsonianmag.com for Rita Hayworth, Mae West and Marilyn. Monroe’s portrait got the most votes.
