That’s an 8% increase over 2014 when police arrested 195.
When looking at the entire year, 1,364 were charged for all of 2015, compared with 1,371 arrested in 2014.
But Constable Clint Stibbe says the slight improvement is hardly a victory as too many are still making the wrong choice.
”People are absolutely not getting the message.”
