Andre Courreges has died following a 30-year battle with Parkinson’s.
He was 92.
Courreges launched his fashion house in 1961.
His trend-setting label with its plastic mini-skirts and futuristic textiles was admired by the likes of Catherine Deneuve
and Brigitte Bardot.
Among those to pay tribute, French President Francois Hollande who issued an on-line statement describing Courreges as a ”revolutionary designer” who ”made his mark on French haute couture.”
