And with those words the New York Times has put the city onto its list of 52 top global tourist destinations for 2016.
The Times says Toronto’s been ”quietly slipping out of the shadow of Montreal and Vancouver.”
It gushes the city’s remaking itself and comes ranked 7th on the list.
The Times singles out the public art, green spaces, bike paths and promenades of Queen’s Quay.
It also mentions how Toronto plays host to cultural and sporting events such as the Toronto International Film Festival and the NBA’s All-Star game which is coming to the Air Canada Centre February 16.
Top place to visit in 2016?
Mexico City, which the Times describes as ”a metropolis that has it all.”
