The final leader of the PC Party, before agreeing to merge with the Canadian Alliance in 2003, just might take a shot at replacing Stephen Harper.
Then again he may not.
Former Harper cabinet minister Peter MacKay, who did not run in last October’s election, says the priority now is to spend time with his young family.
But with the federal Tory leadership convention set for May 2017, MacKay says he’s keeping his eyes on the issues, adding 16 months is a long time to be involved in any contest.
