A group calling itself the United Taxi Workers Association of the GTA says there will be a strike next weekend, when the NBA All Star events are set to take place.
About 25-hundred taxi drivers met Sunday night to discuss the job action, and express their frustrations with Mayor John Tory.
One of the organizers of the group said the strike will look similar to the one held December 9th, when cabbies blocked the Intersection of Queen and Bay, bringing the downtown core to a near-standstill.
