It appears the government is ready to unveil its plans to sell wine in supermarkets, exactly a week before the budget’s delivered.
The Liberals will reportedly allow 70 grocery stores to sell wine this year, eventually growing to 150.
It’s unclear what regulations will accompany wine sales or if they’ll change how beer’s sold.
Beer sold in grocery stores must be less than 7.1% alcohol by volume.
It’s unclear if there’ll be restrictions on wine, which is typically 11% or above.
