Wayne Gretzky has a book coming out this fall, coinciding with the NHL’s 99th anniversary.
His number 99 was retired by the league after his final season in – 1999.
The sports’ all-time scoring leader’s book will be about hockey’s history and his place in it.
In a statement Gretzky said the book, currently untitled, would provide his ”take on some of the great moments … things I have only shared with my friends, family and teammates.”
The book will be written in collaboration with Kirstie McLellan Day, who’s co-written other books on the sport with Ron MacLean, ”Hockey Towns” and ”Cornered” and Theo Fleury ”Playing With Fire”.
