If you haven’t heard, then it’s time to, er, catch up.
French's Loblaw
Loblaw is reversing its decision to remove French’s ketchup from shelves after the uproar on social media.
Originally, the supermarket chain said low sales was the reason it had stopped stocking French’s regular ketchup.
Loblaw continued selling the two flavoured varieties.
But then a Facebook posting promoting the company for supporting local farmers went viral.
A family said it would not longer buy Heinz ketchup since it closed its Leamington plant, leading to about 750 lost jobs.
French’s claims it uses 100% Canadian-grown tomatoes and Loblaw is hoping the enthusiasm for the product on social media translates to improved sales.
