Toronto and the GTA are in for some messy, cold weather tonight – before a system arrives that’s expected to bring snow, rain and freezing rain.
There’s a freezing rain warning for Toronto and Hamilton – as well as Halton, Peel, York and Durham regions.
Freezing rain is expected to begin early Thursday morning.
Environment Canada says temperatures will drop to zero or below by this evening and a broad band of freezing rain is expected to develop and linger over the regions well into Thursday.
In anticipation of the freezing rain, Toronto Hydro says extra crews will be on standby tonight and tomorrow.
