Drivers consider yourselves warned.
”It is going to be a tough summer … It will be challenging.”
The words of Councillor Jaye Robinson, Chair of the City’s Public Works Committee, who points out a number of big projects were put off last summer due to the Pan Am Games, meaning this summer workers will be catching up, especially downtown.

There are close to two dozen major projects and a long list of smaller ones planned.
In efforts to minimize traffic and congestion, Mayor John Tory says the city will co-ordinate construction, extend hours of construction and make traffic changes ”needed to ensure that people can keep moving efficiently while these projects take place.”
The city’s also filled 64,000 potholes so far this year.
More than 250,000 were repaired last year.
