JOAN RIVERS' MALPRACTICE SUIT SETTLED

The family of comedian Joan Rivers, who died days after undergoing a routine medical procedure at a New York City clinic, has settled a malpractice against the facility.

The 81-year-old comedian and star of the show “Fashion Police” died in September of 2014, after she stopped breathing during a routine medical procedure.  Her daughter, Melissa, filed a suit last year alleging doctors failed to act as River’s vital signs deteriorated.Rivers’ attorneys declined to specify the amount of the settlement wanting to make sure that the focus remains on improved patient care and Joan Rivers’ legacy.
