No official word from Major League Baseball but suspensions have reportedly been handed out for the on-field brawl between the Blue Jays-Rangers.
Texas’ Rougned Odor is getting eight games for punching Jays Jose Bautista, but will reportedly appeal.
Apparently, he’s also been fined $5,000.
Bautista is reportedly getting one game, Rangers’ Elvis Andrus is also getting one for throwing a punch at Jays’ Kevin Pillar, while Jesse Chavez will sit three games.
Toronto manager John Gibbons has received a three-game suspension for returning to the field after having been ejected earlier in the game.
Asked where he’d be watching this evening’s Jays-Rays game, Gibbons quipped, ”I might watch the Raptors’ game.”
