Securities regulators have some good news for investors.
As of today, mutual fund companies have to provide investors with information on things like a fund’s performance and fees they’ll be expected to pay – before they buy.

The so-call “fund facts” document was mandated by securities regulators.

It’s the final step in improvements to mutual fund disclosure rules – that started more than five years ago – and are aimed at ensuring investors receive the information they need.

As well, new reporting requirements take effect July 15th for investment advisers – when it comes to the disclosure of fees -and the performance of their investments.
