OLG LAMENTS DROP IN LOTTERY SALES

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is blaming a bout of bad luck for a $115 million decline in lottery sales in 2014 – 15.

The corporation says there were fewer big jackpots, higher ticket prices and far too many winning tickets.
However, the O-L-G’s annual report says lottery, charitable gaming, slots and casinos generated $6.6 billion in revenue during the reporting period.  But the report laments the fact that only 7% of adults under 35 play the lottery at least once a week.
