Real estate markets remain red hot in the Greater Toronto Area and Vancouver the first half of 2016.
So says a just released report from Sotheby’s International Realty Canada.
It shows bidding wars and lack of inventory saw a 65% jump in sales of homes over $1-million in the GTA compared with a year ago, topping the only hotter Canadian market in Vancouver.
The strongest sales volume increase in the GTA was in the $4-million plus category.
Sotheby’s luxury homes report comes the day after the Toronto Real Estate Board said the average cost of a detached home in June was $1.26-million.
