Bernie Sanders says Hillary Clinton must succeed Barack Obama as president because she can take on issues like income inequality, climate change and student debt.
During his endorsement of Clinton in New Hampshire, the Vermont senator stood beside her, pledging his ”political revolution” would continue, and said Donald Trump does not share those values.
Trump’s campaign says Sanders ”is now officially part of a rigged system.”
The presumptive Republican nominee tweeted, Sanders has ”totally sold out to Crooked Hillary Clinton.”
Trump’s senor policy adviser says Sanders ”the candidate who ran against special interests is endorsing the candidate who embodies special interests.”
Trump’s been trying to woo Sanders supporters for weeks.
Sanders vows to do all he can to defeat Trump in November.
Recent polls suggest 85% of Sanders supporters plan to back Clinton.
