”After much deliberation with my family and coaches, I am making this decision for a variety of health concerns including the uncertainty around the Zika virus.  This was a difficult, personal choice and I do not wish for it to impact the decision of any other athlete heading to the Games.
Meanwhile, the world’s top men’s tennis player, Novak Djokovic of Serbia said at Wimbledon that he has concerns as well, although he remains in the Games, at least for now.
Defending Olympic men’s champ Andy Murray and Roger Federer are also planning to go to Rio.
Several big name golfers however, Rory McIIroy, Jordan Spieth and Jason Day, have withdrawn citing health concerns.
