Bernie Sanders is scheduled to meet privately today with his supporters ahead of the start of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

The Vermont senator has recently been positive in his support for Hillary Clinton as the Democrat’s presumptive presidential nominee. Tonight, Sanders addresses the full convention, a day after party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced she will resign following the publication of hacked party emails suggesting the party brass favoured Clinton in the primaries.

One email revealed DNC CFO Brad Marshall questioning Sanders Jewish faith and suggested calling Sanders an atheist would make several points difference in several late primaries.

Meantime, Hillary Clinton told TV’s 60 Minutes, “lock her up” at the Republican National Convention last week made her feel “very sad.”

“I don’t know what their convention was about, other than criticizing me,” Clinton explained about the Donald Trump-led convention, “I seemed to be the only unifying theme that they had. There was no positive agenda.”
