It appears legendary Zoomer author J.K. Rowling has another monster hit on her hands
Her latest effort, labelled as the eighth story in the Harry Potter series, has become the most pre-ordered book in North American since 2007.  “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is not a book as such but the script for a sold London play which hasn’t fully opened to the public.
The work is set 19 years after “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”  Harry is all grown up, an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, the father of three children and grappling with with his past.

Barnes and Noble say the book that it wrestled the pre-order record from is in fact “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

More than 450 million copies of the seven original Harry Potter books have been sold worldwide in 79 languages.  The movie franchise has grossed more than $7 billion.
