CARP FLAG TO BE RAISED ON FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL SENIORS DAY

It’s been five years since the federal government acknowledged Zoomers as a driving force in our society.

Saturday October 1, is the annual National Seniors Day, an event celebrated by CARP – A New Vision of Aging.

The CARP flag will be raised at City Halls across Canada to pay tribute to the seniors who’ve helped build our country and continue to make valuable contributions to Canadian communities, workplaces and society.

Today at noon on the Podium Green Roof at Toronto City Hall, Canadian classical guitarist Liona Boyd will be the featured speaker.

The 67 year old internationally renowned musician will speak in support of CARP’s campaign for improved support for the millions of informal caregivers across Canada.
