If you don’t have any tickets to the American League Wild Card game Tuesday night, but don’t want to be alone, you can always head to Nathan Phillips Square.
The city will once again broadcast the game on a large screen on the stage to let fans cheer on the Jays just like during last year’s playoffs.
Mayor John Tory says, #TheNest became a symbol of the city’s passionate support for the Jays. Bringing it back this year will add to the excitement while giving everyone an opportunity to root for them to go all the way. See you in #TheNest!”
Tuesday at noon, the mayor, city councillors, ACE the Jays mascot and fans will raise the team flag on the podium roof at city hall.
Game starts at 8 p.m.
The 3DToronto sign will be illuminated blue and white.
There’ll also be food trucks on the square for a stadium-like experience.
