The $100,000 Siminovitch Prize has named Ross Manson and Ravi Jain of Toronto – along with Edmonton’s Jonathan Christenson, Nadia Ross of Wakefield, Quebec and Christian Lapointe of Quebec City.

The number was increased to five this year from four – due to “the high quality of nominations.

Created in 2001 in honour of scientist Lou Siminovitch and his late wife Elinore – the prize recognizes a body of work in theatre direction, design and playwriting in three year cycles.
