Alison Azer accuses the Trudeau government of not doing enough to help bring her four children home.
They were taken to Iran 14 months ago by her former husband.
Her story’s been featured on Zoomer Radio’s ‘Zoomer Week in Review’.
”My kids have been taken from a war zone into an area of violence with a man who’s on the run, who’s on the move, he’s unstable and he’s violent.”
But during a stop in Toronto, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his government’s been working ”extremely hard” on the ”troubling case” but claims those efforts have been hampered by the previous government’s decision to cut diplomatic ties with Iran.
Trudeau cites how the Liberals worked hard on the cases of Hooma Hoodfar and Kevin Garratt, among many others.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion has apologized for his thumbs down gesture during opposition questioning in the Commons Thursday on the Azer case.
He says he’s sorry some interpreted it to be aimed at Azer and accuses the opposition of politicizing the situation.
