Health ministers from across the country have concluded their  day-long meeting in Toronto – with federal Health Minister Jane Philpott.

And they left without a promise from Philpott to reverse the federal government’s plans to cut the current rate of health transfer money –  from six per cent – to three per cent – begining next April.

For his part, Ontario Health Minister Eric Hoskins says a drop in the rate of increase of the Canada Health Transfer – is going to mean a one-billion-dollar health care shortfall nationally in 2017-18.
