Think you’ll be able to catch a flight to work one day?
Uber Technologies believes that day may come in 10 years.

It’s released a document in which it envisions commuters hopping onto a small aircraft to head to work.
Uber already offers helicopter rides to commuters in Brazil and early next year plans to convene a global summit to look at on-demand aviation – where small electric aircraft could take off and land vertically.
The idea’s not all that new as vertical take off and landing aircraft (VTOL) have been studied and developed for decades, including by aircraft makers, the U.S. military, NASA and Federal Aviation Administration.
Uber argues on-demand aviation will be affordable and achievable in the next decade, assuming there’s collaboration among manufacturers, regulators and communities.
