Canada’s most famous opera foursome – is now a trio.
The Tenors have announced they are parting ways with Remigio Pereira – who created a storm of controversy in July – when he changed two lines of the Canadian national anthem during a live performance at a baseball game.
He unexpectedly sang: “We’re all brothers and sisters. All lives matter to the great” instead of “With glowing hearts we see thee rise. The true north strong and free.”
On their Facebook page – Fraser Walters, Clifton Murray and Victor Micallef said it was very important for them to share that they forgive Remigio for his actions and wish him well in his future endeavors.
The remaining Tenors will sing O Canada this Sunday at the Grey Cup Game.
It’ll be their first public performance as a trio.
