The top 100 C-E-O’s of public companies listed on the T-S-X raked in  a total of 950-million dollars in compensation in 2015.
That staggering figure is based  on regulatory filings issued last year.
The number is up six per cent and and includes salary, bonus, pensions and stock-based compensation.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives’ annual assessment says the Top 100 average take – at 9.5 million dollars – was 193 times Canada’s average industrial wage of just over 49-thousand dollars in 2015.

The highest-paid person on the new Top 100 list was Michael Pearson, the former C-E-O of Valeant Pharmaceuticals – which paid him a total compensation of 182.9-million dollars in 2015.
