We’re beginning to get a clearer picture of the suspect in Friday afternoon’s shooting inside Fort Lauderdale International Airport that’s left 5 dead, at least 8 wounded.
(ABC News)
Global Affairs Canada says he did not arrive on a flight that originated in Canada nor was a Canadian airline involved.
Earlier there were suggestions that may have been the case, but a spokeswoman with the Canadian embassy in Washington says there was no Canadian involvement and that they’ve confirmed the suspect flew in from Anchorage connecting through Minneapolis.
The shooting happened in Terminal 2, where Air Canada and Delta operate flights.
Meanwhile, the brother of the man, who’s been tentatively named as the suspect, says the suspect had been receiving psychological treatment while in Alaska, for what though is not known.
