Donald Trump will become the 45th American president at his swearing-in ceremony in Washington scheduled for noon today.
There is speculation as to what he will say during his inaugural speech, and how prepared he will be for the historic moment.
“Would he be so included to even ad lib at such a moment as this?” asked Navigator Ltd.’s Mike Van Soelen while on Zoomer Radio’s Fight Back with Libby Znaimer.
“Well, he did it Mike, during all of the debates,” answered Mosaic Institute’s Bernie Farber, “I just can’t see that he’s going to change his stripes. I think we’re going to be in for another one of those shockeroo moments.”
Trump supporters can be seen in Washington wearing red hats emblazoned with his “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan.
The U.S. president-in-waiting is scheduled to attend church with his family this morning, then meet Outgoing President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for tea at the White House.
The Trumps and the Obamas will then travel together in the presidential limousine for the short trip to the Capitol for the noon swearing-in ceremony.
And when Donald Trump enters the White House residence for the first time as president, it’s supposed to feel like home.
His clothes will be hanging in the closet. The kitchen will be stocked with his favourite foods.
The White House residence staff, nearly 100 butlers, maids, plumbers, electricians and others, will only have the hours between Trump’s swearing-in and the end of the inaugural parade to clear away all traces of President Barack Obama and his family and make the Trumps feel at home.
