Kathleen Wynne will play an important role in a major thrust to remind Americans of her province’s importance to the U-S on the trade front.
The premier says she’ll lead a new committee on Ontario-U-S economic and trade relations – as the province gets ready for possible protectionist action – by the administration of U-S President Donald Trump.
Other members of the new committee include the province’s representative in Washington, the international trade minister, the economic development minister, the agriculture minister, Wynne’s chief of staff, and the secretary of the cabinet.
Wynne has also announced that she’ll be travelling to the U-S next month – to talk to business and political leaders.
