Donald Trump defended is presidency and accused much of the media of being ”out of control” during a White House news conference Thursday vowing to take his message straight to the people.
“To be honest I inherited a mess.  It’s a mess, at home and abroad, it’s a mess.”

Nearly a month on the job the president says his administration’s made ”significant progress” and challenges those who feel it’s off to a chaotic start.
”I turn on the TV, open the newspapers and I see stories of chaos.  Chaos.  Yet it is the exact opposite.  This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine.”
As for his travel ban that’s on hold in the courts while they weigh its legality, Trump says it ran into ”a bad court.”
But he’ll soon announce a new one.
”We’re issuing a new executive action next week that will comprehensively protect our country.”
Trump expects that’ll happen the early to mid-part of next week.
