Not long after President Donald Trump called the media ”the enemy of the people,” CNN, BBC, the New York and Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, BuzzFeed, The Hill and the Daily Mail and Politico were among those blocked from an off-camera White House press briefing.

The Associated Press and TIME magazine boycotted the briefing as a result.
The White House Correspondents Association is protesting.
Conservative media organizations Breitbart News, The Washington Times and One American News Network, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, Reuters and Bloomberg were allowed in.
The OFF-camera briefing is different from the on-camera one held by Press Secretary Sean Spicer, which is not scheduled to take place this afternoon.
It’s not unusual to forego on-camera briefings on days when the president delivers a speech as was the case this morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, during which Trump complained about the media’s use of anonymous sources, accusing mainstream news outlets of making up sources for damaging reports about his White House.
Spicer hand selected the news organizations that took part in the off-camera ”gaggle” inside his office instead of the regular Press Briefing Room.
