Anti-Donald Trump signs greeted his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, as they took part in the official opening ceremony inside the 69-storey building.
Some protesters sang the national anthem, many left messages in the form of sticky notes on the exterior of the hotel and with chalk on the sidewalk outside.
Inside, the Trump sons spoke at the official ribbon cutting amid heavy security.
Eric called Vancouver an ”amazing city befitting of the Trump brand.”
Donald Jr. told the media, ”I’d like to thank the press — just kidding.”
