Toronto Police believe a fire Tuesday night at an Islamic information centre and mosque on Weston Road was deliberately set using a small gas can on the building’s roof.
Mayor John Tory says there is no room for this kind of thing in Toronto.  He says what is needed is educating people about religions and what they do and do not stand for.  The Mayor suspects it is a small number of people who are behind these kinds of attacks.  But he wants it understood, the people behind the attacks do not represent the vast majority of Torontonians.
There was no fire or water damage inside the building and and no injuries were reported
No suspect information has been released.
